ITEMS DISCUSSED AT THE FIRST MEETING OF THE SIX ACRES WORKING PARTY HELD ON 16/11/2020

• Discuss and finalise the terms of reference for the six acres working party.

• Discuss briefly the current status of the land at Preston Grange, in particular any unfinished business (e.g. meadowland).

• Determine the structure of the Preston Grange Residents Company and clarify if their role includes representing the views of residents on the six acres of land owned by Preston Parish Council.

• Clarify the current status of the HELAA process for the six acres of land.

• Clarify the current situation regarding pedestrian and vehicular access to the six acres of land.

• Discuss the reasons behind holding a meeting with David Wilson homes.

• Set up meetings with adjoining landowners, in particular DDC, Salvatori and Bob Morphett to ascertain if they have any development plans that might affect the six acres.

• Discuss and research all potential options for the six acres of land. This should range in broad terms from no development to partial and full development (and all options in between). Establish the benefits, advantages and disadvantages of each option, for the whole community.

• Discuss a communication plan for keeping residents informed of the progress of the working party and determine how to ensure appropriate consultation during these challenging times.

• To set up a process for inviting, reviewing and responding to any new ideas for the use of the six acres. All credible proposals that are put forward by parish residents will be considered.

• Prepare a document detailing all existing ‘green and environmentally friendly’ public areas in Preston parish.

• Discuss the six acres petition.

• Discuss the role of the Village Design Statement in relation to the six acres of land.
